Your Theory Test

Your theory test consists of 2 parts, of which you must pass both.

Theory study material can be rented from your instructor on request at a very competative rate. We are always happy to assist you with your studying if required.

» Multiple Choice Questions

You must answer at least 43 out of 50 correct to pass this part of the test. The questions will cover all aspects of your driving lessons.

» Hazard Perception

This part will involve sitting infront of a computer and watching 14 movie clips. You will then have to observe different driving situations in which there are numerous hazards. You are asked to click the mouse whenever you see one of these hazards, as and when they develop. You must get at least 44 out of a possible 75 to pass this part.

Fees

The price for the Theory test is £31.00. The waiting list is approximately 2-4 weeks. For this test, you MUST bring BOTH parts of your driving licence, and your appointment letter.

Our instructors will be more than happy to assist with the booking of your theory or practical driving test. Test fees must be paid to instructors prior to tests being confirmed with the DSA (Driving Standards Authortiy).

Your Practical Driving Test

The practical driving test is a 45 minute test which consists of:

  • A small eye test
  • 2 show me/tell me questions (ALL show/tell questions provided within your "pupil track record")
  • General supervised driving
  • 2 supervised manoevers

In this test a maximum of 15 driver faults can be made. Any more or any dangerous faults made will result in failure.

Fees

The price of the practical test is £62 (weekday) or £75 (weekday evenings and weekends - PLEASE NOTE: The Blackpool Test Centre DO NOT currently opperate evening/weekend tests). The waiting list is approximately 4-6 weeks.

For this test, you MUST bring BOTH parts of your driving licence (card and paper counterpart) your Test Theory certificate and your appointment letter.
